Welcome to the Fremont Outdoor Movies official 2012 website. This section is designed to help you prepare you for a wonderful evening out at Seattle’s premiere outdoor movie experience.
This state of the art outdoor movie theater offers surround sound presenting our movies on Blu-Ray digital projection and 5.1 THX surround sound to provide you the best picture and sound quality possible outdoors.
WHAT TIME DOES THE THEATER OPEN?
Our gates open at 7pm for those who want to get the best seats. We keep you entertained with some pre-show movie trivia and fun contests and our always playful photo booth.
WHAT TIME DO THE MOVIES ACTUALLY START?
Great question! Depending on the season, it varies. For instance, the longest day of the year is June 16th (Summer Solstice) so our SINGLES screening won’t start until about 10pm. Every week, our movies generally start about 10 minutes earlier than the previous week. Here is a helpful chart to determine your arrival.
Friendly Disclaimer:Best seats go at 7pm, so get there early to claim your campsite and then feel free to head out and grab a drink or a bite in the neighborhood until the movie starts.
- JUNE – Expected Movie Start Time: 10:15pm
- JULY – Expected Movie Start Time: 9:30 (Late July) -9:45pm (Early July)
- AUGUST – Expected Movie Start Time: 8:45 -9:00PM
WHAT TO BRING:
We recommend that our patrons make themselves comfortable. Please remember that this outdoor movie theater is located in a parking lot, so be sure to bring pillows, chairs, inflatables, and yes, of course don’t forget your best friends and family members.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? WHY?
Another great question! We have always aimed to keep this great movie experience affordable for any age with a $5 admission price.
WHY ISN’T IS FREE LIKE OTHER OUTDOOR THEATERS?
This great outdoor movie theater relies heavily on our ticket revenue, due to receiving less than 20 % of our total . On average each movie screening costs about $2,200 to produce and your contributions help it to keep this great tradition alive every summer.
For every screening, we have to provide 30% of the total door revenue with the movie studio, topped with equipment rentals, lot, insurance and staff, it adds up quick and we greatly appreciate your support every summer.
